Class and Workshop News
- NEW DATE: The second Mixed Media Collage class, cancelled due to Hurricane Milton, is re-scheduled for Thursday, November 21 from 10am – 12pm. Please tell the instructor, Sheila, or email/call the LEC if you want to attend the class.
- The Journal-making class takes place on Mondays, November 18 and 25 from 10-noon. In this class you will learn how to make at least two DIY journals of your own that you’ll absolutely love! We’re not journaling or writing. We’re making the cover and interior pages so you can fill it with whatever you want. They also make great gifts. We need to know how many supplies we need, so please email info@lectampa.org, call (813) 932-0241, sign up online at lectampa.org, or sign up in person.
- ROOM CHANGE: Until further notice, Tai Chi and Chair Yoga will take place in the FHUMC Fellowship Hall. Directions: Walk out of the FHUMC parking lot towards the closest street which is Edison. Turn right onto the sidewalk. Look for signs or an open white door. You can also stop by the LEC building if you need help finding the new room.
Club News
- We’d like to start a Walking Club. If you are interested, contact Arleen or Sheila for more details (email info@lectampa.org or call 813-932-0241).
- The Photo Club will NOT have a Zoom meeting in November. However, photos for the November & December Challenge will both be reviewed during the December 18th Zoom meeting. November’s photo challenge is Fall. That can be seasonal (color, thanksgiving) or gravity or whatever else inspires you. Send Dave your images this month to help him keep them separate from December submissions. December’s challenge is Winter. That can be seasonal, holiday cheer or whatever else inspires you there. Send those images in December.
- DATE CHANGE: The Photo Club will photograph the unveiling of the fifteen new mermaid statues at Weeki Wachee on Saturday, January 11 at 11:30am. Attend the December 18th Photo Club Zoom meeting or contact Dave Beebe to learn more.

- We are forming a new book club! If you are interested in joining, please sign up on the Resource table at the LEC, email info@lectampa.org, or call 813-932-0241.
