April is OPEN HOUSE MONTH at the L.E.C.!

Do you know someone who has never taken a class at the L.E.C.?  New students can take a class for free during the month of April. It’s as easy as 1-2-3!

Step 1:  Pick a class (not a workshop). Call or email your choice.

Step 2:  Come into the L.E.C. to pick up a voucher for that class (first 25 people).

Step 3:  Attend the class during the month of April.

• NO CHAIR YOGA CLASS on Monday, April 21.

• “ONCE UPON A TIME…”: April is National Poetry Month!  Celebrate by attending the Poetry class on Thursdays from 10:30am – 12pm online and in person. The topic for this week is  “Fairytale Poems”. No experience necessary. • DRAWING WITH RICK UPDATE: The Friday Drawing with Rick class is expanding its time!  Starting Friday, April 25, the class will meet from 10am – 12pm ($10 members / $12 non-members).  Attend online from home or at the LEC.  Register online here, or you can email info@lectampa.org, call (813) 932-0241, or sign up in person.

• CREATIVE HATS: Start stylin’ for the Kentucky Derby, for summer vacationing, or just for fun!  During the Hat-decorating Workshop on Saturday, April 26 from 10am – 12pm, use a variety of materials to decorate the hat of your choice.  Express your style and be as creative & extravagant as you wish.  (B.Y.O.H.—Bring Your Own Hat)  Sign up (and pay) on or before April 24 to reserve your seat. • WALKING CLUB: Monday, April 21 at 9:30am  Anyone interested in joining the Monday morning Walking Club outing this week, please email Arleen at grants@lectampa.org for details. Include your cell phone number.

N. Boulevard ROAD CLOSURE:

• The City of Tampa plans to resurface N. Boulevard from Country Club Dr. to Waters Ave. starting on Monday, April 21. Since the Life Enrichment Center is on N. Boulevard, try to allow extra drive time when heading to classes.
