Class & Workshop News

• NEW CLASS STARTING!    Air-dry Clay Sculpture class begins Thursday, March 13 from 10am – 12pm. No experience necessary.  To complete the project, you MUST attend all four classes.  Register online here, or you can email info@lectampa.org, call (813) 932-0241, or sign up in person.

• DREAM A LITTLE DREAM:  Poetry class meets on Thursdays from 10:30am – 12pm online and in person. The poem style for this week is dream poems. No experience necessary. Register online here, or you can email info@lectampa.org, call (813) 932-0241, or sign up in person.

• PASTELS IS BACK:  The Thursday Pastels class with Janice resumes on Thursday, March 13 from 1 – 3 pm.

Club News

• WALKING CLUB: Monday, March 10 at 9:30am.   Les Miller’s All Peoples Community Park and Life Center at 6105 E. Sligh Ave. This park is just east of King H.S. on Sligh Ave.  Carpoolers meet at the LEC at 9 am. Sheila will be leaving at 9:10am. Our walk begins at 9:30am!  Anyone interested in joining the Monday morning Walking Club outing this week, please email Arleen at grants@lectampa.org for details. Include your cell phone number.

• PHOTO CLUB OUTING:  The next Photo Club outing is Tuesday, March 11 (11am) at Edward Medard Conservation Park in Plant City. Email info@lectampa.org for meeting location and directions.

• YARN ARTS CLUB:  The Yarn Arts Club resumes on Wednesday, March 12  from 9:30 am – 11:30 am.  Bring a project and join the fun!

LEC Talent on Display! 

• BOOK EVENT:  LEC member, Jayne Lisbeth, will be selling copies of her books, Raising the Dead and Writing in Wet Cement, at the Cover to Cover Bookfair for Grownups on Water Street, Wednesday, March 12, from 5:30-9:30 pm.  Click here for more information.

• GALLERY EXHIBIT AND RECEPTION:  LEC artists, Virginia Ferguson and Glenda Partee have art on display as part of the “Black Art Matters” exhibition in the Main Gallery of the Carrollwood Cultural Center.  Stop by to check out their work.
